Bill Lear’s Music.
Bill is a local Macon, Missouri musician and entrepreneur. He started playing with a band when he was about 20 years old with a group headed by musician “Rex Kline”. Then he played with “The Music Makers” and after that he performed several years with “The Country Plus Band”. Then he started his own group, “The Sweet Water Band”, and played with them about 12 years. He took up 1 year with “Bob Vanderbeck’s Salt River Opry” which gave him the idea to start his own show “The Black Diamond Jubilee” which is now in its 29th year right here in Macon, Missouri! He has throughout his playing days also been a guest on several other shows. Also, Bill and a partner ran “The Macon County Country and Bluegrass Festival” for 4 years.
